Loading Dock Door Repair

A dock door takes more hits and more cycles than any other door on the building, and when it fails the trucks stack up. G Brothers repairs the sectional and rolling steel doors at loading docks across the Denver metro, 24/7, with common parts on the truck.

What this service covers

Real work by background-checked local technicians, quoted at a flat rate you approve before anything begins.

  • Impact damage

Sections, panels and track bent by a forklift or a trailer, straightened or replaced.

  • Springs and cables

High-cycle springs and lift cables for dock doors that run all shift.

  • Rolling dock doors

Curtains, slats, guides and bottom bars on roll up dock doors.

  • Operators

Jackshaft, trolley and hoist operators, with photo-eyes and wall stations, on any brand.

  • Seals on the door

Bottom seals and weatherstripping on the door itself, so a closed dock door keeps the weather out.

Signs a dock door needs repair

  • The door is stuck open or closed with a trailer waiting.

  • Sections are kinked or the door hangs crooked after a hit.

  • The door has come off its track or out of its guides.

  • The operator reverses, stalls or will not run.

  • Light and drafts show under or around the closed door.

  • A spring or cable has broken and the door will not lift.

Keep the dock running

Dock doors that run all day wear springs, rollers and cables faster than any other door on the building. A scheduled maintenance plan catches that wear on a planned visit instead of in the middle of a shift. If a dock door has been hit, keep people and vehicles clear of it and do not run it until it has been checked. A bent section or track can drop the door.

Dock levelers, seals and industrial doors

A dock leveler is the hinged plate at the dock floor that bridges the gap to a trailer bed. A dock seal or shelter is the padding around the door opening that closes the gap to the trailer. Both work with the industrial door above them, and most docks need the door fully open before the leveler runs. Our work is the door itself: the sectional and rolling steel doors at the dock, their springs, track and operators. If the problem traces to the leveler or the seal, we will tell you on the visit.

Choosing a dock door repair service

  • Around-the-clock dispatch. A dock door fails on its own schedule, so look for a company that answers at night and on weekends.

  • Parts on the truck. Common springs, cables, rollers and operator parts on the truck mean fewer return trips.

  • A flat price first. You should know the price before the work starts, not after.

  • Paperwork you need. A certificate of insurance for your property manager or landlord, sent quickly.

After putting off a broken garage spring for over a year, I finally called G Brothers Garage Doors. I only wish I had done it sooner. I found them on social media and got an immediate response. Scheduling was easy, and Boddrick showed up exactly when he said he would at 8:45 AM. He took one look at the issue and confidently said he could fix it and had the springs in the truck. He replaced both springs quickly for the exact quoted price with no surprises. While testing the door, he noticed noise in the rails and took the time to tune everything up as well. Professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and honest. The kind of service that is hard to find these days. If you need garage door work done right the first time, call G Brothers. No question. Highly Recommend!

G Brothers came to check out our garage door issue within a half an hour of calling them. They turned around a quote within that same day and I was able to schedule my garage door opener replacement within 48 hours. This was much faster than I expected (my issue wasn’t an emergency). The garage door works much better now than I knew it could (older garage door). I highly recommend working with G Brothers! And will certainly be going back to them with any future garage door needs.

I highly recommend this company. They did a great job! I needed a new 2-door and single door garage door and they came the very next day, did a great job, and were the best experience. I've had at least 3 companies come out and do work on my garage doors over the past 10 years and wouldn't use any of them again. I will be using G Brothers again and again, they did great work at the price they quoted. They were on time, did the work quickly, and it looks and works great!

So grateful for these guys, they helped me out so quickly and at a great price! When my old door jammed up and got crunched they were the only ones who could within a day fix it and they work so fast it only took them an hour and a half to install a completely new door and springs, great work ethic and super nice guys! Other companies told me it would be weeks till they could get a new door and wanted to charge me thousands more, I would highly recommend these guys to anyone!
