Replacement Garage Doors: Amarr Heritage vs Lincoln vs Hillcrest

These three Amarr collections cover the same ground: a traditional-looking insulated steel door. The look is where they split. Heritage and Lincoln are traditional panel doors; Hillcrest is a carriage-house design. Underneath, the numbers are where the choice gets made.

The short version

  • Heritage has the heaviest outer steel (24 gauge on every model) and the longest paint warranty on every tier. It is the one to choose when you plan to stay and want the longest coverage.
  • Lincoln gives you the same R-values with lighter steel and a shorter warranty on the lower tiers, with a Lifetime workmanship warranty on the 3000.
  • Hillcrest matches Lincoln’s numbers but is a carriage-house design, and its 3000 has a 3-year workmanship warranty rather than Lifetime.
  • If you are weighing the top tier of each: Heritage HR3000 and Lincoln LI3000 both carry R-9.05 and a Lifetime workmanship warranty; the Heritage has the heavier outer skin.
