Doorlink Garage Door Replacement in Denver: Every Collection

Doorlink’s steel doors share one construction, and that makes them easy to compare: the main choice is the look of the panel, not the build underneath. The aluminum full-view door is a different product with different trade-offs.

Below is what each Doorlink collection we install is made of, taken from Doorlink’s published specifications.

What the Doorlink steel collections have in common

The raised, recessed, flush, louvered and Ozark collections are all three-layer sandwich doors: 26-gauge hot-dipped galvanized steel on both faces around an expanded polystyrene core, with a published R-value of 10.25. Each is finished in factory paint. The warranty is lifetime for the original owner of a single-family home, with a shorter term (3 years) for other residential use and 5 years against delamination on the 3600 series.

Because the build is the same, the decision between those collections is the style you want on the front of the house.

The carriage collection is the one with real choices

The Doorlink Carriage Collection spans several models and comes uninsulated, as a two-layer door with a vinyl back (R-6.85), or as a three-layer sandwich (R-10.25). Panel designs include grooved, long grooved, composite overlay and wood overlay. The steel is 24 or 25 gauge depending on the model, which is heavier than the 26 gauge used on the other Doorlink steel collections.

The full-view aluminum door is a different animal

The Premium Aluminum Full View Panel (Model 8000) is an aluminum frame with glass sections, not an insulated steel sandwich. Its R-value is not published and depends on the glass chosen (tempered, tinted, low-E or laminated, in insulated glass units of 1/8, 1/4 or 1/2 inch). Doorlink publishes a 1-year warranty on the aluminum sections. It suits a workshop, studio or a modern front elevation more than a garage that has to hold heat.
