How the access system works

That code authorizes the garage door to open. This access is tied to a confirmed delivery in progress for your address. The door will not open unless Amazon's tracking system verifies that a package assigned to your home is actively being delivered at that moment.

The driver uses the Amazon app to trigger the door to open. The open command goes through Amazon's delivery verification, then to the myQ servers, and finally to your opener. The driver enters the garage, places the package, and exits. The myQ system then closes the door automatically. The access token is used up at that point and cannot be used again. There is no way for the driver to reuse it for a later visit.

You receive a push notification from the myQ app confirming the door opened and closed, along with the time of the delivery. On compatible camera-equipped openers such as the LiftMaster 84504R and 84505R (Secure View series), the system also sends a photo or short video clip.
