What garage door services does G Brothers offer?
Here's a closer look at what each of those covers, so you know who to call before you call.
Repair services we handle
Repairs are the bulk of what we do, and most are finished in a single visit because our trucks carry the common parts. The repairs we get called for most often:
- Broken springs. Torsion and extension springs wear out around 10,000 cycles, roughly 7 to 10 years. When one snaps the door gets too heavy to lift, and that's our most common same-day call.
- Snapped or frayed cables. A cable failure leaves the door hanging crooked. Running it makes the damage worse, so stop using it and call.
- Off-track doors. A roller jumps the track after an impact or a worn part lets go. We re-seat it and fix the cause.
- Opener problems. Dead motors, stripped gears, bad logic boards, and misaligned safety sensors all keep a door from working right.
- Noisy doors. Grinding, popping, and squeaking usually trace back to dry rollers, loose hardware, or worn bearings.
- Damaged panels. A dented or cracked section can sometimes be replaced one panel at a time instead of swapping the whole door.
You can see the full scope on our garage door repair page. For anything urgent, our emergency repair line answers around the clock.
Installation and replacement
When a door is past saving, or you just want a better one, we install new doors and openers. That includes full door replacement, single-panel swaps where they make sense, opener upgrades, and smart-opener setups. We measure your opening, walk you through material and insulation options for the Colorado climate, and haul away the old door. See our new door installation page for what a typical project involves.
Commercial garage door services
We also serve businesses across the metro. Commercial garage door services cover overhead sectional doors, rolling steel doors, high-cycle springs built for heavy daily use, and the kind of fast response a warehouse or shop needs when a door is down and trucks can't move. Commercial work runs on a different clock than a home, so we prioritize getting you operational. Details are on our commercial doors page.
Maintenance and tune-ups
The cheapest repair is the one you prevent. A yearly tune-up catches a fraying cable or a tired spring before it strands you. A tune-up typically includes lubricating moving parts, tightening hardware, checking spring balance, testing the auto-reverse safety system, and adjusting travel limits. For a door that gets heavy daily use, twice a year is smart.
What sets our service apart
A few things hold true across every job we do:
- Same-day service in most of the metro, with emergencies jumping the line.
- Flat-rate pricing. You get the number before we start, not an hourly meter.
- Licensed, insured, background-checked techs. Family-owned, local, with 30+ years of combined experience.
- Veteran, senior, and first-responder discounts available.
We cover Denver, Lakewood, and the surrounding Front Range service areas, so a local crew is usually close by.
Service for older and unusual doors
Not every door is a standard builder model, and we work on the ones that aren't. That includes wood and carriage-style doors, oversized openings, high-lift setups in shops, and older doors where parts are harder to source. If your door is decades old, we'll tell you honestly whether it's worth another repair or whether you're better off putting that money toward a replacement that won't keep costing you in small fixes. We also retrofit older doors with modern safety sensors and quieter openers when the door itself still has plenty of life left.
When to call us
If the door still opens and closes safely but is noisy or slow, a normal-hours tune-up or repair handles it. If it won't open, won't close, or has a failed spring, cable, or track, call sooner. A door that keeps running on broken hardware does more damage every cycle.
Not sure which service you need? Call our 24/7 line at (303) 937-4477 and describe what's happening. We'll tell you what's likely going on, whether it's urgent, and what it should cost, often before a truck leaves. You can also send the details through our contact form and we'll get back to you fast.
